Race Overview

ROYAL SHAKE (5) caught the eye when 2nd on his Quinte+ debut over this distance at ParisLongchamp and, on the evidence of that performance, is good value to bounce back from a disappointing 8th in a similar contest last time over 1300m. He ought to fight for victory, if reproducing his penultimate effort, with TIMES BOULEVARD (15), who finished an encouraging 3rd (ahead of the selection) in their recent Quinte+ meeting on 6 June. WHISPERING DREAM (1) was 2nd in that race and, although a 'rookie' in the handicaps, is likely to play another leading role. OPALUS ROAD (4) has demonstrated incredible consistency at this level and can be expected to acquit himself competitively, along with last-start winner (of the reference race) OMICRONE (6). Of the remainder, LEOPARDUCCIO (11) and ALVA (12) make the most appeal.
